Abstract

This research aims to describe tourism activities at the Gunung Jae, and management diversification of on site tourism activity product at Camping Ground Gunung Jae, Sedau Village, West Lombok Regency. By using the method of observation, documentation, interviews and approaches using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the tourism activities that became the main focus at the Gunung Jae tourist attraction were camping ground, water rides in the form of boats and water bikes, softtrekking, trailrun, and morning gymnastics, while activities such as fishing, catching shrimp, eels, and clams were only carried out by local residents. The management diversification of on site tourism activity product at Camping Ground Gunung Jae consists of planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. Planning, the Gunung Jae has undergone a change in concept from a recreational park to a camping ground. The development planning carried out involves several aspects, including tourist activities, zoning, and adding and improving facilities at the Gunung Jae tourist attraction. Organizing, the organizational structure has been implemented, but needs improvement in the description of tasks and work discipline of Pokdarwis members. Actuating, the actuating process involves directing and motivating members. Briefings are held once a week and evaluations once a month. Motivation is carried out by providing rewards in the form of tents or bonus money. Controlling, supervision involves various parties and is tiered from Village Head, BUMDes, Pokdarwis, to members. The focus of supervision is on the smooth running of the tour, readiness of facilities, cleanliness, guest complaints, and Pokdarwis discipline.
