ANALISIS PENGARUH BAHASA GAUL DALAM PENULISAN PESAN MELALUI SMS/WA MAHASISWA SEMESTER 6-A BAHASA INDONESIA UMN

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of slang in messages via SMS/WA for semester 6-A Indonesian students at UMN. To obtain more linear and specific analysis results, the problems studied in this scientific work must be limited to the characteristics of slang in WhatsApp messages, the use of slang vocabulary with Indonesian in WhatsApp messages and the process of forming these lingual units. Slang in WhatsApp messages can have both positive and negative impacts on the use of slang in the millennial era. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method with phenomenological qualitative techniques. In this research, data and information were collected through informants, namely by observing semester 6-A students majoring in Indonesian Language Education, Al Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University, Medan. The respondents were 14 semester 6-A students majoring in Indonesian Language Education, Al Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University, Medan. The data obtained through data collection techniques are then compiled to form a report
